The Foo Fighters did a quadruple guitar attack on the Late Show with David Letterman last night appearing with the ultimate rock chick, Joan Jett.

Together they totally blazed their way through a cover of Jett's killer tune, "Bad Reputation" which is off her 1980 self-titled debut album.

This is why we love the Foo Fighters. What other band would use a spot on a massive show like Letterman to play a cover instead of a song off their new album, Wasting Light.

Just before this show, the Foo Fighters had just played a sold-out show at Madison Square Garden. "What a dump!" laughed the TV host.
